Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic financial professional to join our team as the Deputy Chief Financial Officer (Deputy CFO). In this critical leadership role, you will serve as a key partner to the CFO, overseeing the company’s financial operations, ensuring compliance, and contributing to strategic decision-making. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of operational finance and executive leadership, with a clear pathway to potentially assume the CFO role.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

- Assist the CFO in developing and implementing the company’s financial strategies to support business growth and long-term goals;

- Provide insights and recommendations based on financial performance and market trends;

- Represent the company in meetings with investors, regulators, and other external stakeholders.

Financial Operations:

- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, treasury, tax, and financial planning & analysis (FP&A);

- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with regulatory and accounting standards;

- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to align financial resources with company objectives.

Risk Management:

- Monitor and manage financial risks, including liquidity, credit, and market risks;

- Lead internal controls and audit processes to ensure robust financial governance.

Team Management and Development:

- Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members to enhance their skills and drive performance;

- Act as a liaison between the CFO and other departments to ensure alignment and efficiency.

Special Projects and Initiatives:

- Drive initiatives to improve financial systems, processes, and technologies;

- Support M&A activities, fundraising, or other special projects as needed;

- Act as a change agent during organizational restructuring or process improvement efforts.

CFO Support:

- Step in as Acting CFO during the CFO’s absence, representing the company at the executive level;

- Prepare materials and presentations for board meetings.

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA/CPA/CFA preferred);

  • At least 7+ years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, preferably with exposure to both operational and strategic financial management;

  • Deep understanding of accounting standards, financial regulations, and compliance requirements;

  • Proven experience in managing budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes;

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with internal teams and external stakeholders;

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions;

  • Experience in M&A, fundraising, or large-scale financial transformations is a plus.
